Resistance Through Color and Form

Resistance Through Color and Form was a digital media–focused exhibition created through my Imagining America JGS (Joy of Giving Something) Fellowship. The project explored how Black communities resist oppression through hair, music, and everyday life—blending historical narratives with present-day realities. More than just an art show, the exhibition invited people to come together, spark conversations, and reflect. It became a space for healing, joy, and shared pride, showing how art can be both activism and a form of community care.
